Memory looks full after reset with no data showing

Now my phone just did a factory reset on its own , but the memory is showing as full as i left it ?? though there is no data on the phone, is there hope to retrieve it ?

My Sony M4 Aqua Duel ,just reset itself to factory settings while i was asleep , now I have no idea how that happened , also the internal memory looks full as it is , when in fact there is nothing on it .
your quick help is highly appreciated

the phone can NOT perform a factory reset on its own.
