SMS delivery report not working on Xperia M2

Dear Gents!

I am experiencing an annoying issue.

I do not see no indication about SMS message delivery report!

I have checked settings under SMS app. Delivery report has been enabled but not indication come up once SMS has been pick up by my recipent's mate handset!

Any advice would be welcomed!

have you contacted your network carrier if they support this feature?

Hi @andyxxl,

Welcome to the community.

As @nolramlb suggests, this is a network function, and not all networks support it. If yours does, what you should see is a grey background on an undelivered message, and a blue background on a delivered one.

Come on man...Slovak mobilne network operator Orange do support such function!!!!!

If I swap SIM card to older E71 nokia handset I see in log menu status of SMS message as undelivered.

Once it becomes delivered it just turns to delivered state!

Anybody has another idea how to see SMS message delivery status on Sony experia SMS app? I was said at some other forum once I tap SMS message I should get status there.

But funny thing once SMS message has been sent it will gone from SMS app view?

Does anybody know why?

Anyhow does anybody know how to actually see SMS delivery status at message app on Android Sony Xperia?

As I mentioned what you should see is a grey background on an undelivered message, and a blue background on a delivered one.

Uff I do not see such greyed backround there!

Once SMS message is sent it become gone from SMS app view!

There is no send box in SMS app aka older Symbian S60v3?

Where is actually send SMS????????

Anyway, sir Could you kindly upload here link with printscreen from Anroid's SMS app view where can I see SMS delivery status?

@andyxxl,

My apologies, I just realised you are using the M2. After the delivery report function is turned on, a check mark is displayed in messages that have been successfully delivered.

I cannot provide a screenshot as my network does not support delivery reports.

Hi CameronT but as I have mentioned several times I do not see any sent SMS message once it has been sent!

Where can I see if sms message delivery has been raised and confirmed?

@andyxxl,

You do not receive an SMS with a delivery report. You will see a tick next to the message you have sent.

Sir if I tick on SMS message in SMS app nothing happen!!!

Also I have newer Xperia arc S same behavior!

Would you be so kind and send me prinscreen from you Xperia how it should look like?

I don't have an M2 here I can test this with. Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing when you send an SMS?
