KD-43XF8096 keeps restarting

Hi in need of some assistance please, it's an XF80 43 inch TV.

TV was restarting after around a minute of being on the home screen so I performed a full reset by unplugging and holding the power and volume button.

The TV has reset and managed to get through to the welcome setup screen. However it still keeps restarting after around a minute so I cant get through the setup.

So whatever the fault is that kept making it restart is still present and causing havoc for me.

Has anybody experienced this, the tv is only 4 years old and I would have liked at least 10 years use from it.

Where did you buy this TV from, if bought from John Lewis or Currys you get a five year warranty, Richer Sounds give a six year warranty. If you find it is still under warranty contact the seller to organise a repair.

Is it only switching off when you get to the Home> Set Up screen, are you able to watch the TV at all.

If it is out of warranty then it may be prohibitively expensive to get it repaired so indulge yourself and buy a new one.

I think the days of TVs lasting 10 years and over are gone as manufacturers in trying to keep to certain price points are using cheaper less robust electronics.

Hi @cl0788f Have you tried disconnecting every input including the aerial?

Hi, sadly I bought it from argos with only 12 month warranty.

I have tried disconnecting all inputs and even attempted the restart without wifi.

I am going to try the usb firmware update this afternoon
