Probably within this year. However, I don't think that airplay 2 support will be included.

The technical instructions say that this model has a built-in airplay2 feature, which will be available at the next software update. How is this possible?

From what I could see in the specifications, it only mentions that it will get support, but there's no mention of an ETA or it being the next/following update. But it's clearly planned as an update.

This is splitting hairs as Sony already confirmed on the UK website that it is "future" and not "next" and Google Translate seems to agree, not that it's accurate xD.

It's a matter of time in either situation.

For me, "next" is just the next and not "somewhere in the future".
However, this debate is pointless and will not affect when the airplay will work.
Still, I think it’s wrong to advertise a thing that doesn’t work.
