Auto switch to HDMI input channel when I switch device on

I have just bought an XH8196 TV and it doesn't want to automatically switch to the relevant HDMI input channel when I switch the external device on (a BT Youview box). My old 2012 Sony TV did. Is this a feature (not a very good one if it is) of Android TV's or am I missing a setting somewhere? I can obviously select the input source manually but its a bit annoying having to do that when my 8 year old previous TV did it for me. Can anyone help?

I also have a Sony DVD player connected to the new TV which does switch the display source automatically (presumably through Bravia sync?)

Presumably. But have you checked on the new TV that Bravia Sync is On, and universally On?

Though YouView boxes can be a bit patchy about auto switching. Try another HDMI port, if you can.
