KD-49X8307C goes to "standby" right after turn on

Hello,

I am facing an issue with my KD-49X8307C Sony TV.

I turn on the TV and after a few seconds, TV seems to go into standby mode and the display turns off. The white led on the bottom of the screen blinks on and off. Then i have to press on a channel 1-9 in order to turn the display on again.

I have no energy saving option selected. The current firmware that is installed in the TV is: PKG5.417.0177EUB.

What can i do?

After soft resetting my TV, the problem continued.

Resetting the TV to factory settings seems to have solved the issue, at least for now, as it can happen any moment.

Unfortunatelly, the sequence of steps of how to start the factory reset procedure was not working on my TV. I did it from the menu settings.

Unfortunatelly the problem continues to happen.

In the past the problem appeared a few minutes after TV was turned on.

Now it happens at random times. For example, my TV may be active displaying a channel for 20 mins, and then out of a sudden the display goes black, sound goes off but the white led on the bottom stays on.

All energy saving options are disabled. TV returns to normal only after selecting a channel.

Please help me.
