Sony XF75 - HDR Totally washed out and muted

HDR off, I’m typing on my iPad and it won’t let me type in the text box because of the images, yes I had the enhanced hdmi 2&3 port enabled, also tried calibrating the screen. Any ideas? Happens on literally every HDR content, Netflix, Xbox one X, PS4 PROHDR EnabledHDR on

I'd recommend making sure your TV is up to date before anything else.

Has it always been doing that by the way?

Yes updated, and yes it’s always done it. I’ve Tried restoring it but it’s still doing it. Both Xbox and PlayStation doing the same, i have noticed Netflix doesn’t go onto hdr though so can’t test that 😕

Hi James,

I've done some more research on this and it appears to be normal.

Apparently, when HDR is enabled, the TV changes the way the panel handles colours, so you will see the HDR effect fully on the actual HDR content, but the menus will look as you've shown in the pictures.

Nothing to worry about!
